The Carbon & Emery County Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) program is a community-wide effort to support, grow, and enhance the economic impact of existing businesses.
We are serious about the business of Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) in all facets of dealing with the economic development in our area. The BEAR team understands that economic development goes hand in hand with workforce and community development, and our efforts are devoted toward building a dynamic plan that is inclusive of these critical disciplines.

Southeastern Utah Energy Producers Association (SEUEPA) is comprised of a wide group of companies involved in coal and other mining, oil/gas production, power generation, energy transportation, energy support vendors, academia, and government agencies. We support businesses as well as government, academia and private professional groups. Our board of directors includes key leaders from each facet of the major energy industries. We aggressively promote economic development in an effort to create well paying jobs in Southeastern Utah. When asked to participate, we assist our members in any way possible to bring new projects to fruition.
